The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has appointed Lieutenant Colonel Kambani Ronald Lungu as General Manager for National Teams, with immediate effect.
FAZ General Secretary Charles Chakatazya confirmed the appointment on Wednesday, saying Col. Lungu’s experience in football administration would strengthen coordination across all national teams.
Col. Lungu currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Premier League side Red Arrows. He has also previously worked as Team Manager at the club and served on the executive committee at Power Dynamos.
“He brings a wealth of football experience and knowledge to the national teams set-up,” Mr Chakatazya said. “His role will be critical in ensuring that our national teams are well coordinated and supported.”
Col. Lungu takes over from Mr Chakatazya, who held the position before his recent appointment as FAZ General Secretary.
FAZ said it expects Col. Lungu to work closely with technical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations across all national teams.
“We welcome Col. Lungu to this important role and look forward to his contribution towards improving the management and development of our national teams,” Mr Chakatazya added.
