Dynamos 2 Nakonde 1
LUSAKA Dynamos coach Patrick Phiri was left excited after  seeing  his  boys   beat  Real Nakonde and then cut the gap on MTN-FAZ league leaders Napsa to five points after this win over a struggling Real Nakonde.
“I have nothing but praise for the boys for this win because it means we are still in contention for the league title which we really want to win,” he said.
The expensively assembled Lusaka Dynamos side opened the scoring in the 33rd minute when Jimmy Biyandula capitalised on defender Ken Phiri’s slip to pounce and put the Lusaka side in front.
Real Nakonde however, responded gamely and saw Bismarck Kwarten almost level but his shot went narrowly wide in the 39th minute for a 1-0 half-time Dynamos lead.
On resumption, Nakonde were awarded a penalty in the 45th minute when Given Mubanga was brought down by Dynamos’ Patient Ikamba with the striker picking himself up to net from the spot and level the scores.
Dynamos however got the last laugh in the 75th minute when Mwansa Nsofwa curled in a free kick at the edge of the box after Biyandula was brought down by Chiteta Kwalombota.
Nakonde coach Mathews Njobvu conceded defeat saying the winners were more comfortable on the ball but said his charges will put in a better shift in the nest game against Power Dynamos.
Forest 0 Buffaloes 1
At Trade Fair grounds in Ndola, Ronald Chawe writes that Felony Sitonya converted in a 77th minute to helped Green Buffaloes to silence Forest Rangers and jump back into third position on the league standings.
After lifeless first half, Sitonya, who had a quiet game, converted from a spot when Zambia under-20 defender Benson Chali was judged to have handled in the box when trying to clear the ball with the Buffaloes forward sending goalie Daniel Mutshnuenu the wrong direction.
In this game, which had few scoring opportunities in the late stages saw Buffaloes goal keeper Fred Silwamba rushed to the hospital after a heavy collision with Patrick Ilongo of Forest Rangers.
The win pushed Buffaloes to 28 points while the home side remained stuck in seventh position on the log with 24 points.
