By JAJAH COULIBALY –
PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Copperbelt chairperson Stephen Kainga has advised Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili to desist from issuing statements on behalf of the party concerning it’s candidate for the 2021 general elections.
In a statement availed to the Sunday Times, Mr Kainga  stated that it was unfortunate that despite being a senior member of the party, Mr Kambwili had continued to issue statements undermining the party as quoted in some sections of the media.
Mr Kainga distanced the party from sentiments attributed to Mr Kambwili in the media as the party’s stance on the matter was that President Edgar Lungu was the sole candidate for the 2021 general elections.
“We would advise Mr Kambwili and other senior members of the party that have continued to undermine President Lungu’s leadership to openly state their position and not continuously attack the party through the media,” he said.
As the party prepares for the 2020 convention, Mr Kainga urged PF members to rally behind and support President Lungu in his quest to foster development in the country.
