‘We have to beat Yanga’

ZANACO defender Zimiliseni Moyo says they have no excuse but to qualify to the group stage of the CAF Champions league as they take on Young Africans of Tanzania in the return leg on Saturday at National Heroes Stadium.
And Yanga coach George Chicken Lwandamina said the game against Zanaco will be a 50-50 affair as the tie was delicately poised after a 1-all draw in Dar es Salaam.
Moyo in an interview after morning training session at Sunset stadium said that the game against Yanga will be tough but they will put in their best.

He said the team has to be consistent in performance and they should improve on the first leg result.
Zanaco managed to hold Yanga to a 1-1 draw in the first leg through a Attram Kwame second half strike.
“Qualifying to the group stage depends on us, Yanga are a good side and we need to apply ourselves well,” said Moyo.
Zanaco captain Ziyo Tembo said the team was ready to battle with Yanga and they have an advantage playing at home.
Tembo said the morale in camp was high and everyone was eager to silence Yanga.
“Every game comes with its own challenges but we just have to impose ourselves on them,” said Tembo.
He said Zanaco has prepared adequately and they have a chance of qualifying to the group stage of the competition.
“We have done our home work in training, we just need to ensure that we convert our scoring chances to goals,” Tembo said.
Lwandamina said both teams have the opportunity to go through to the next round depending on their abilities.
“Both teams have a chance to go to the next round because they have an opportunity to play and the team that will be more motivated will excel,” Lwandamina said.
His Zanaco counterpart Numba Mumamba has named a 19-man squad with the inclusion of the under-20 AFCON stars Boyd Musonda and Mangani Banda.
The duo joined the team after helping Zambia lift the 2017 AFCON Under-20 trophy for the first time.
The team has goaal keepers: Toaster Nsabata,Magani Banda
Defenders : Chongo Chirwa ,Taonga Bwembya, Andrew Kwiliko, Peter Banda, Ziyo Tembo, Zimeliseni Moyo and George Chilufya.
Midfielders: Richard Kasonde, Augustine Mulenga, Boyd Mwangelwa, Ernerst Mbewe , Boyd Musonda Mbewe, Lee Ngoma, Reuben Lyanga.
Strikers : Attram Kawame, Kennedy Musonda , Saith Sakala.
