Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Elias Kamanga who disclosed this in an interview yesterday said the twins and their mother were currently in a stable condition .

“I wish to inform the nation that the case of a mother that gave birth to twins who are joined at the abdomen at KCH is currently well with her twins and as Government through the Ministry of Health we have engaged experts to find out if they can be operated from here or Lusaka and if possible out of the country,’’ he said.
Mr Kamanga said children were future leaders, hence any necessary support to enhance their health care was key to Government adding that it was in that regard that Government was committed to improving healthcare services for the people through providing adequate medical care.
He said Government would endeavour to provide necessary equipment in the Health sector to ensure that Zambians received proper healthcare services.
