THE Small-Scale Farmers Development Agency (SAFADA) will spend about K4 million in the next five years to support 180,000 farmers across the country.
This is aimed at providing reliable credit facility to the small scale farmers.
SAFASDA director Boyd Moobwe said his agency would provide reliable credit facility to the small scale farmers at an estimated cost of between K2.5 million and K4 million.
Speaking in an interview in Lusaka at the weekend, Mr Moobwe said they would this promote crop diversification, marketing of agricultural rural products, family farmers advancement through the partnership with the private sector.
Mr Moobwe said the agency would also promote issues having to do with agriculture training for the rural farmers.
