THE Patriotic Front (PF) has implored Zambians to embrace President Edgar Lungu’s New Year’s message of hard work.
PF deputy spokesperson Frank Bwalya said it was important for each Zambian, wanting to see a better Zambia, to embrace the President’s New Year message.
Mr Lungu in his New Year message called for unity and hard work in order to drive the country to prosperity.
“PF urges all Zambians to take the President’s New Year message to heart. This is time for unity and hard work,” Mr Bwalya said.
He said that every Zambian should participate in improving the lives of Zambians.
Meanwhile, Mr Bwalya said the PF’s priority in 2017 was to offer Mr Lungu and the Vice-President Inonge Wina undivided loyalty and
support.
He said the loyalty and support was meant to help the President, deliver prosperity to all the Zambians.
Mr Bwalya said in 2011, the PF embarked on an ambitious programme to deliver infrastructure development and it was therefore, the same ambition that would be the party’s focus this year.
The party wanted to work for the people by providing jobs and development and not concentrate on winning the 2021 elections.
Mr Bwalya said the party was aware that Mr Lungu was keen on delivering to the Zambian people and so the party members would
provide the President and Ms Wina support.
He said the party would therefore not allow destructive indiscipline by party members.
The PF would also concentrate on strengthening its structures and put in place measures to ensure each member felt respected and appreciated.
Mr Bwalya said the party would also lead by example by ensuring that party members did not engage in illegal activities such allocation of plots.
