Mr Nasr said during the hand over of the equipment in Lusaka yesterday that Egypt had made it a priority that the ECZ was assisted, because Zambia had a record of holding peaceful elections.
ECZ chairperson Esau Chulu said the equipment would assist the ECZ provide election services to the nation on time as well as in training staff for the purposes of elections.
“This donation will go a long way to help with the election training programmes,” he said.
Justice Chulu urged the ECZ staff to ensure that the equipment was used for the intended purpose.
