URBAN Africa Group of Companies has commenced the construction of an ultra-modern shopping mall in Ndola at a cost of US$3.5 million.
The mall to be called Ndola Square Mall next to Ndola Golf Club on Nkana Road will house office spaces, food outlets and a supermarket, among outlets.
The developers will also put up a children’s play pack at the complex.
Urban Africa Group of Companies founder Christopher Jannou said in an interview that once completed, the mall would create more than 100 jobs for the locals.
Mr Jannou said the mall would add value to infrastructure and economic development of Ndola.
“Ndola Square Mall will be unique. It will be the hottest place; a lot of people will be flocking into the place because of its location and the various services that will be offered,” he said.
He said the construction of the mall was expected to be completed by March next year.
Ndola Square Mall will be the fifth mall to be built in Ndola after Jacaranda, Zmart, Kafubu and Dola Hill.
