PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Copperbelt provincial chairperson Stephen Kainga has charged that the party will not fail to uplift the welfare of the people through various developmental projects as long as it remains in power.
Mr Kainga said the PF Government was the only one that had initiated development in all the parts of the country hence the need to give it another mandate in the August 11 general elections.
He said at a rally held at Kitwe’s Luangwa Township on Sunday that the party had a programme that needed to be successfully accomplished, adding that it would only succeed if it was retained in office.
“The PF has done a lot of projects in developing our country and uplifting the lives of our people in the shortest period of time it has been in power, this is why we need to give it another term so that it continues with the projects,” he said.
Mr Kainga said President Lungu had worked hard in ensuring that the lives of people were first prioritised as he was concerned on matters that affected the people in the country.
He raised concern on some independent candidates that were distributing party regalia, adding that such people had no space in the party hence the need for the electorate not to entertain them.
“Our party has no independent candidates and if you see any of these distributing our regalia don’t entertain them. They should design their own, this is why our President has chosen leaders in all the
constituencies on the PF ticket so if you want development to be archived vote for the PF officials not independents, “ he said.
Meanwhile, Wusakile aspiring PF Member of Parliament (MP) Axon Simwizye has pledged to continue with the development projects that were left by the former MP by working with the people to achive a common goal.
And ex-miners representative, Peter Sakala has reaffirmed his commitment to work with the PF Government, adding that former miners would vote for the party in the August 11 for continuity of developmental projects.
