A renOwNed music artiste has called on political party cadres to emulate their spirit of love and unity despite belonging to different political parties with divergent views.
The artiste says it is disheartening that cadres involve themselves in violence because of different views on political party preference.
Willz Ngoma, popularly known as Willz Nyopole, believes there is no benefit in political violence as it was a hindrance to development.
Nyopole says Zambia is a Christian Nation and that he wonders why cadres do not behave like Christians.
The zealous artiste says since the country was in a period of campaigns, members of public should pray so that Zambia could be given a good leader.
He says people should not judge artistes that perform for political parties since performance and music was the artistes’ source of income.
“Most of these artistes performing for political parties are just advertising themselves and making money, so people should understand that artistes have no ill intent but they just want to make money,” he said.
Nyopole has also come out loud in condemning political players who are vandalising campaign posters.
He said that leaders of political parties should preach peace to their cadres as such type of damage might cause confusion.
On the part of music, the singer was happy with the airplay his ‘Junta’ track is currently receiving on radios and in public places.
The track is also apparently receiving a fare share of airplay across borders like Malawi, Tanzania, DR Congo and Zimbabwe.
