Lunga Bullets drawn against Ndola Nets in semis

COPPERBELT Basketball Association league champions Lunga Bullets have been drawn against Ndola Nets in the semi finals of the season openchampionship to be played at the Don Bosco Youth Centre in Chingola.
According to the draws released by Copperbelt regional secretary Annie Simbeye, Bullets will face Nets on June 4 for a place in the finals.
Bullets made it through to the semi final from Group A after shielding off competition from Don Bosco, MEF Fishers, Chikola and Mufulira Magnets.
The champions won three out of four games to remain the favourites to
win the championship.
However Nets will be eager to cause an upset as a win against league champions will give them confidence ahead of 2016 season.
Nets was in Group D and faced challenges from YMCA Stingers, Copperbelt energy Corporation (CEC) Blazers and Ndola Takers.
In Group C, CEC Cavaliers made it through to the semi finals but are yet to learn who their opponents would be after Group B could not be decided last week.
Copperbelt University (CBU) Comets and Fairview Falcons will meet today in the deciding game of Group B to see which teams progress to the semi finals to face Cavaliers.
In the feminine semi finals, CBU Robins were drawn against their bitter rivals CEC Queens while Busher will face Don Bosco Storm.
All the semi final games will be played on June 4 and the finals will played the following day which will officially open the league.
