ZANACO moved up to fourth position after a hard fought 2-1 away win to embattled Mufulira Wanderers who played most of the second half with a man down.
Goals by captain Ziyo Tembo and Rodrick Kabwe in the first half was all the bankers needed to pick maximum points and mainatian their 100 per cent start to the season.
Wanderers pulled one back from the spot in a late surge to salvage a point but it was too little too late.
The defeat sees Wanderers drop to 12th position with eight points from eight games while Zanaco now have 12 points from four games.
It was agony for Egyptian coach Ahmed Sulliman who is lined up to take over from Manfred Chabinga at the club as he sat meters away from the technical bench for allegedly not qualified to coach a Super League team.
Zanaco coach Numba Mumamba was not happy with his team’s performance saying they operated at 50 per cent but was quick to say the three points were most important.
“It is good that we have continued to win but today’s performance was not that good. I think we played at 50 per cent,” Mumamba said.
Wanderers caretaker coach Chewe Mulenga said his team was unlucky to have lost to Zanaco because they played better than their visitors.
He said Wanderers were on top of the game before giving away the two goals in the first half.
“That’s not our position  (on the table). Just give me two or three games you will see changes,” Mulenga said.
Zanaco approached the game with confidence dominating play and catching Wanderers on the counter.
But it took the visitors 24 minutes to register their first goal after Tembo headed in a Rodrick Kabwe corner.
Wanderers tried to get back into the game but the well organised midfield of Isaac Chansa and Salulani Phiri was too good for the hosts much to the frustration of the home fans.
Kabwe added more misery on Wanderers from his trademark free kick which the goalkeeper Joshua Manyongo parried in his own net in the 42nd minute to send a sizeable visiting crowd into celebrations.
In the second half, the contest looked to have been over for Wanderers after Allan Kamwanga Junior was sent off after receiving his second yellow card for bringing down the pace and tricky Charles Zulu.
However Wanderers were given a life line in the 82nd minute when Lee Ngoma handled in the box and Joseph Kasongo stepped up to convert  but it was too little too late.
