By FELIX MALUNGA – THE 2016 Kwilimuna Traditional Ceremony’s fundraising golf tournament has been set for May 22 in Ndola with organisers targeting to realize K50,000 from the event. Kwilimuna Traditional Ceremony is an annual event for the Lamba people of Chieftainess Malembeka of Mpongwe District on the Copperbelt. Organising committee member, Emmanuel Katebe said the second edition of the tournament would attract at least 50 teams. Katebe said participation fee for a team of four was K1, 000 and that the organisers were determined to raise at least 50 teams. He, however, appealed to the corporate world to come on board support the annual event by sponsoring teams for the tournament set for Ndola Golf Club. Katebe, who is also Sports Council of Zambia vice-chairperson, said the money raised from the tournament would be utilised to host the annual Kwilimuna Traditional Ceremony in July.
