POLICE in Eastern Province have instituted investigations against Ikulile Initiative Enterprise for allegedly swindling people out of huge sums of money.
Ikulile Initiative Enterprise is a construction advisory services entity established to offer housing empowerment to civil servants and ordinary Zambians through architectural and civil engineering support.
During his recent visit to the Eastern Province, President Edgar Lungu directed the Police to bring to book people behind Ikulile Initiative Enterprise without sparing anyone for “stealing” colossal
sums of money from suspecting people.
Eastern Province Police chief Alex Chilufya said in an interview that a team of investigators had been set up to probe the matter.
Mr Chilufya said it was only after investigations were concluded that an appropriate action would be meted out on those found wanting.
“We have a team of investigators that are working on that case and we are looking at it from every possible angle we can and of course like any other investigation, we are proceeding normally.”
“Once we have gathered enough information, we will definitely charge some people with certain offences, those that need to be charged, according to what we will have established after investigations,” he said.
