23 Zambian firms exhibit at Zim trade fair

TWENTY-three Zambian companies are exhibiting products and services at the on-going 57th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo.
Some of the companies have sent representatives while others have sent samples to be showcased at the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) stand at the show.
The companies that are exhibiting are Mount Meru, Dangote Cement, Zamleather, Varun Beverages, Zambia Sugar, Zambeef, Amigo Foods, Ndola Lime and Zambian Breweries.
Others are Copperbelt University (CBU), Novatek, Modern Fabrics, Exotic Drinks, Californian Beverages, Musa Biscuits, Decotex, University of Lusaka, Zayaan, Gatbro Zambia, Kalisiya, and Kandiana.
ZDA director export development Jonathan Simwawa who is leading the Zambian delegation that includes embassy staff said in the latest ZDA website update.
He said this year’s theme would encourage Zambian companies to get down to basics by being true to their original mandate and promoting value addition.
“About 390 companies are taking part in the international fair with over thirty countries in attendance of which 23 are Zambian companies,” he stated.
Mr Simwawa said business meetings had been arranged for executives to discuss business opportunities, network and strike deals on the sidelines of the fair.
ZITF will officially open tomorrow by a visiting dignitary. The show will end on April, 30, this year.
