A ZIMBABWEAN based fertiliser manufacturing company ZFC Limited, has indicated plans of expanding its presence to other parts of Zambia due to increased agricultural activities ZFC supplies different types of fertilisers, which include compounds, blends and custom made blends straights fertilisers.
Distribution and exports manager Richard Gurira said the company would expand its customer base and presence in Zambia in order to provide the required agriculture products.
Mr Gurira said at the just ended Agri-tech Expo in Chisamba that fertiliser and chemical products that were supplied on the Zambian market were those relevant to farmers.
“We are based in Zimbabwe and we have been supplying the Zambian market for over the years. We are widening our base in this country and we intend to spread it to all other provinces where agriculture is the mainstay,” he said.
Mr Gurira said farmers can benefit by using high analysis fertilisers which are cost effective, less transport and handling costs, as well as reducing storage space.
“High analysis fertilisers are suitable in all areas of crop production and their application rates will depend on crop nutrient requirements.
Mr Gurira commended the Zambian Government for putting in place policies that encourage private sector participation in the agriculture sector and creating a conducive business environment.
