If you are active on social media you have probably seen the slightly annoying sentence #EyebrowsOnFleek.
This simply means that the eyebrows are on point or perfect.
This does not refer to the eyebrows that are all shaved off and then drawn on with a black pencil in really wide overboard arches (please stop this ladies) , you know the ones Iam talking about, the type that give the wearer a perpetual look of surprise.
I browsed the Internet for tips on how to get the perfect eyebrows.
The first key is to grow out your eyebrows that means that you must stop tweezing them for a while and let them fill out.
You can ensure that they don’t look all helter skelter by shaping them and keeping them in place with gel eye eyeliner which is quite efficient.
Use the brown one on your eyebrows because it looks more natural and the black one looks really drawn on and makes you look older.
Draw according to your face shape, see the diagram below to get an idea of what would work for your face.
Shape.com gives the following advice: “Nail the ideal shape for your exact face every time with this easy-to-follow technique, which only requires an eye brush (or anything similar with a straight handle).
Start with a brush placed along the bridge of your nose so it rests on top of the nostril and points up—it should sync up with where your brow should start,.
To find the tip, angle the brush from the base of the nostril to the outer corner of your eye. Finally, place the brush against outer edge of your nostril, angling it along the outer edge of the pupil to create the classic arch and adjust based on your face shape.”
When it has grown in fully go to an expert please don’t take a razor blade and try doing it yourself. An expert will find your shape and then you can do it yourself after that if you want.
The graph below will help you get started though but remember that the underlying common thing is that the eyebrows are full not thin and spindly.
So now you have them filled and grown what next?
Take a brow brush, if you have forgotten what it looks like go to my blog www.divadiarys.blogspot.com and look for the article.
Elle.com advises: “The first thing you’re going to do is comb your hairs up to see where they need to be filled in, starting from the front working towards the tail of the brow.”
The site also says that your next stop must be to measure because; “Your best brow aligns with the inner tear duct with an arch that’s about 11 o’clock from right where sleep collects.”
Then use a thicker brow pencil to fill in the density especially where the hair is less than the others, please be gentle and use a light touch.
Then get a smaller pencil and basically draw in little hairs from the front towards your nose area and also to perfect your arch area and the tail.
Then now get your gel eyeliner and basically just draw it on the shape that you have already made.
It lasts longer and sets the shape in place and makes it last longer.
