AN Indian Bollywood dance troupe is in the country to promote cultural diversity.
The five-member crew from India is in the country to perform Bollywood dance styles that will also incorporate Zambian songs and dance.
The group is led by a famous Indian choreographer Sunil Chetri and is geared to showcase the mixture of numerous styles used in Indian films to promote Indian culture and at the same time learn something about Zambian culture.
The group is in the country by courtesy of Emperor Palace Casino which would be opening its doors soon at the newly opened metropolitan shopping mall in Lusaka.
The group is also in the country to demonstrate the cordial and bilateral ties between Zambia and India.
Emperor Palace Casino Chief Executive Officer Jain Kushal said the partnership between the youths from Zambia and India was another way of empowering young people.
“We want to indentify youths with skills to join the Bollyhood dancers as part of promoting and exchange cultural diversity between the two countries which is another way of empowering young people,” he said.
The dance crew is also expected to grace the grand opening of the state of the art Emperor Palace Casino on April 15th, 2016.
