A GROUP of young local designers have formed a partnership to improve their skills in fashion and design.
Group representative Sokoni Mwango said in a recent interview.
Mwango, a Sokdust T-shirt prints designer, said the idea which brought the young designers together was aimed at making the local fashion industry united and orderly.
The partnership was also aimed at making it easier for the public to have access to their products.
“Of course we do not only want to show the nation of how united young fashion designers are in Zambia, but hope that this fusion will make it easier for our local customers to make orders or purchase the T-shirts at one place without having to look for the brand owner,” he said.
He said the group wanted to enter the international market to showcase to the world what Zambia had to offer.
Mwango said his brand, Lokoh Ni Laka, was amongst four other brands of different designers.
Eleskay My City, Light in Dark Streets and Zed Since 1964 are the other brands involved in the group.
The young designers are also conducting their business online where members of the public can view their brands on the website.
