A ZAMBIAN fashion analyst Thokozile Nyoni says fashion can never exist without the creative hands of a woman in the highly competitive and glamorous industry.
Thokozile, who is also a fashion critic, has observed that Zambia is taking the right direction in terms of creative fashion and that the fashion world needs support of all women to even make it brighter.
“Fashion is a woman’s tool, for that reason we need to develop our own local fashion so that people in other countries can learn of our local designs too,” she said.
Thokozile said though she was happy that most women understood the cords of fashion, it was a pity that most of them fancied more of Western fashion as compared to their local fashion styles.
She has also advised women to stay beautiful by exercising and dressing according to their bodies as clothes are supposed to match with the body, shape colour and height of the person wearing them.
The fashion analyst said the month of March was for women to celebrate, enjoy and appreciate themselves through looking good and dressing well.
“I am proud to be a woman and I love it that I am a woman. I hope women feel loved and appreciated this month and throughout their lives” she said.
