A LUSAKA wife told a court how her husband, who she described as a sex maniac, has drawn a timetable for lovemaking.
Fridah Katongo said her husband, Chembe Lungu, 35, demanded for sex every day.
She said Lungu had sex with her thrice a day, including during lunch time when he rushes home for lovemaking.
Ms Katongo complained about the prolonged lovemaking which Lungu had made her endure even when she was on her periods or was sick.
“What is actually shocking is that my husband now even comes back home during lunch just for sex. I get so drained that I can’t continue enduring this sex regime. I just want to divorce him,” she said.
She said she could not continue having sex with her husband in that manner because it was very exhausting.
Ms Katongo said apart from the awkward sex timetable, her husband forced himself on her during her menstruation period or when she was feeling ill.
“I am tired of having abnormal sex with my husband. His abnormal sexual desires might end up causing an ailment in me since it involves sex before going for work, during lunch and when he knocks off.
“In the night it’s even worse since he makes love countless times. I do not want to die for the sake of marriage,” she said.
Ms Katongo said she had complained to her friends and grandmother about her torturous experience, but that they advised her to be “strong” and remain married.
In his defence,Lungu said there was nothing sinister about him making love to his wife many times since that was the main reason he married her.
“That is another way of keeping myself away from infidelity and remaining loyal to my wife even if it means having sex any time,” he said.
In passing judgment, Magistrate Pauline Newa, sitting with Lewis Mumba, granted the couple divorce and gave custody of the three children to Ms Katongo.
The magistrate ordered the couple to share all the property acquired equally. No compensation was granted.
