MADALITSO Muthiya slumped on his final day of the Eye of Africa PGA Championship when he finished on par 72 and six-under-288 overall after managing three birdies, a bogey and double bogey.
The Zambian had to thank his form for the first three days of the tournament which saw him going into the final day with a six under par.
Muthiya was hoping to improve his score on the final day but after carding level pars on the first four holes on the front nine, he followed it up with a double-bogey on the fifth but managed to recover one shot with a birdie on the sixth as he finished the front five-under.
On the back nine, Muthiya started brightly which saw him card a birdie on the 11th hole but was pegged back with another bogey on the 12th hole.
The Zambian rallied until the 16th hole where he managed a birdie which was enough to see him maintain his six-under-par and finish the tournament in a joint 24th position with three others.
At the top, South Africa pair of Dean Burmester and Jaco Van Zyl finished with a joint top with 20-under-par 268 to share the spoils from this tournament with fellow South Africa Ockie Strydom finishing third with 17-under-par.
