GREEN Buffaloes coach Bilton Musonda says he wants to add the 2016 Charity Shield to the club’s rich trophy collection.
Musonda said after the team’s morning training session yesterday at Arakan Barracks, that the team was eager for tomorrow’s semi-final against Zanaco at Nkoloma Stadium.
He described Zanaco as a good team and Buffaloes will take the game seriously naming team captain Christopher Katongo as one of the key players that will impact the game.
“We want to add on to our trophies. We last won the Charity Shield in 2008, so we need to get this one once again. The boys know how important this game is to everyone and they are taking it seriously,” he said.
And Zanaco football club head coach Numba Mumamba said his team is ready for the battle against the Zambia Army, who are the Barclays Cup champions.
Mumamba said in an interview before the team’s afternoon training session that the team is preparing hard for this weekend’s game.
Zanaco will face Green Buffaloes in the first semi-final while league champions Zesco United play Power Dynamos in the second semi-final.
“Our target is to reach the finals of course, so we are more than ready for GBFC despite knowing very well that they won  the Barclays Cup,” Mumamba said.
