INTERNATIONAL forward, Conlyde Luchanga has reported for pre-season training with his new club Power Dynamos after his outing to the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda.
The teenage striker reported in Kitwe over the weekend to begin his loan stint with the six-time Zambian league champions from Lusaka Dynamos.
“Yes Luchanga is here and he came on Sunday and has started training,” Power Dynamos Team Manager Lombe Chipupu said.
Luchanga joined Power for pre-season training just a week after returning from the 2016 CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) with Chipolopolo where he played two games as a substitute.
The 2015 Young Player of the Year, who scored nine league goals and two for Chipolopolo in 2015, is on loan at Power under December, 2017.
And GODFREY DUBE writes that Kabwe Warriors’ new Congolese acquisition Amed Amuri got a perfect start to his Warriors career by scoring twice in their 2-0 win over Caps United in an international friendly played in Zimbabwe.
Warriors are in Zimbabwe on an off season tournament and their win over Caps United was the second game of the outing after losing by a similar score to Dynamos FC in the first game.
In the first game, Warriors succumbed to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Dynamos FC after Marcel Kalonda conceded an own goal before the host doubled the lead in the 89th minute through Musa Madiri from the spot in a game played at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
In the second game, Congolese striker Amed Amuri scored either side of half time to give the Kabwe side the perfect pre-season training boost.
Amuri gave Warriors the lead in the 28th minute after he capitalised on a blunder by a Caps United defender before he slotted in from close range.
He added a second goal five minutes after the restart to seal the victory for Mohammed Fathy’s team who went on to dominate the second-half and camped in the opposition half for long spells.
Fathy said it was gratifying to get a win under his belt in pre-season in order to boost the morale of the players in the pre-season tour.
Fathy said in an interview yesterday that he was impressed with the team’s performance and congratulated his players for the good effort.
“I am impressed to see the team win after that loss to Dynamos and I must say well done to the boys but they should remain focused in the game to come,” he said.
The team travelled yesterday to Chiredzi district in Masvingo province where they will face Triangle United FC at Gibbho stadium.
Warriors will face Triangle United FC today to wind up their pre-season tour in Zimbabwe before returning to Zambia on Friday.
