WHEN Jimmy Kapala of the It’s over over hit fame went quiet, most of his fans thought it was perhaps ‘over’ but to undo that perception, he is back with another album just as though to prove a point that it is not yet over.
Jimmy comes with a fully packed 15 track album entitled Malilo, not necessarily a lamentation package but expression of what the depth of love can do, once broken.
Just as a the first step to the compilation of the album, last year, Jimmy released two singles namely Munda Nimuchabu which has a video and is playing on most television stations and Malilo featuring award winning artist T-Sean.
He told Sunday Times Entertainment that he has since recorded 11 songs and only remains with a few to complete his 15 track album.
“I know I have been in the background for a long time now but I’m back and my fans should expect plenty of great works from my new album.
“I have done most of the songs and only remaining with a few and then I will launch my album this very year.” says Jimmy.
His album will consist of tracks such Sunga Umoyo which means guard your life, Vaululika, and Ba Sweetie and Munda Nimuchabu which means people can be born of the same womb but will behave different.
He worked with artistes such as Chiko Wise from Kopala, Chester of the Belinda Nafwa fame and he disclosed that he recorded most of his tracks with the producer of all seasons Jericho Banda alias Jerry Fingers.
Jimmy disclosed that he took a break on his music career and concentrated on business but he recently realised that he can’t do without music.
