‘Reclusive’ musician Danny ‘Kaya’ Siulapwa temporarily reclaimed his rightful place on stage when he entertained revellers at Lusaka’s Lay-by bar in Ballastone Park last Saturday.
Danny, who has not been on stage in a while, was backed by the More Fire Band, with Naso and Brian Nganalikombweke on backing vocals.
Danny started with some of his old favourites, like As long As, Akunvela Mushe, Kaya, Ku na Kwa and subsequently switched to more recent songs like Handsome which drove the audience wild.
Danny made his name singing somewhat controversial songs at times,like Ya Kumbuyo and Better TV.
The singer recently disclosed that he had stopped working on albums in preference for singles.
He said he decided to slow down on releasing albums because he believes members of the public are still digesting his music.
The singer felt that so far, he had given the public his very best.
“I have written a number of singles which will come out with a bang this year,” he said.
