KALAHARI Lodge last Friday played host to Abantunse Band.
But the spot, which is popular with live musical shows, had to endure a long wait before the band arrived to set off an evening of Kalindula tunes.
The chilly Friday evening eventually warmed up when the band electrified the lodge with danceable tunes that sent the audience calling for more.
The air was musically charged as Abantunse thrilled the audience with a combination of guitar, drums and the keyboard that left a touch of jazz to the occasion.
The band also played some country music songs of legend Shania, like the hit track ‘Still the one I love’, followed by  Zimbabwe’s Oliver Mutukudzi’s beats which were accompanied by Kalindula rhythm.
The band hosted the show in memory of late song bird Magarita Phiri.
It was an evening to remember for many of the patrons who had the opportunity to dance to some soothing Kalindula tunes.
