A THIRTY-SIX-YEAR-OLD woman protested in court that she was tired of using condoms each time she had sex with her husband and demanded unprotected sex.
The woman, who displayed used condoms in the Matero Local Court in Lusaka, said for the past four months her husband always had sex with her using condoms and she was not happy as she did not enjoy it.
This was in a case in which Brenda Muleza of Chipata Township dragged Taison Banda of Ng’ombe Township to court for marriage reconciliation after the two failed to resolve their marital disputes caused by the use of  condoms.
“At the time we got married in 2003 up to October last year, my husband used to have sex with me without condoms and we have three children, but why has he resorted to using condoms whenever we engage in sex?”  she asked.
Muleza narrated that her husband had stopped eating the food she prepared and sometimes refused the water she prepares for his bath, making her suspect that he had a girlfriend.
In defence, Banda said his wife denied him sex for one year and four months and that he thought she could learn lessons from elderly women that would help her reason like a married woman.
Banda said his wife disrespected him and told him that he was a useless man because his salary was not enough to satisfy her needs.
Magistrate Pauline Newa, sitting with Magistrate Lewis Mumba, reconciled the couple and advised them to seek advice on their marriage from elderly people.
