A MAN of Chitamba village in Nakonde District, in Muchinga Province, has been brutally murdered and his jaw removed.
The body of Stephen Siame, 68, was found in a pool of blood a few metres away from his house with a missing jaw.
Muchinga Province Police chief Auxensio Daka said the deceased was hacked to death by unknown people and that some body parts were missing.
Mr Daka said an axe suspected to have been used in the killing was found next to Mr Siame’s body.
“A 68-year-old Stephen Siame has been hacked to death by unknown people. The axe that was used in the act was found next to his body,” Mr Daka said.
Mr Daka said the body was in Nakonde Hospital Mortuary, and that no arrests had been made.
He said Police had launched investigations into the matter.
