THE Zambia National Association for Saw millers (ZNAS) has threatened to repossess over 100 plots that have been lying idle in the Lufwanyama District cluster.
ZNAS president William Bwalya said the association had given its members whose plots were lying idle in the cluster six months in which to start developing their land.
Mr Bwalya said failure by its members to take possession of the land, would lead the association to repossess the plots and give them to other people.
“We were targeting about 174 plots in the cluster, but only 27 people have taken possession of the land in the area.
“We would like to remind those of our friends that have failed to develop these plots that they risk losing them if they fail to take possession within six months,” Mr Bwalya said.
He said the association has since written reminders to affected members advising them to show commitment towards the development of the cluster.
