By DELPHINE ZULU –
A POLITICAL analyst has urged political parties in the country to practise bipartisan type of politics for the benefits of Zambians.
Alex Ng’oma, who described the prevailing political environment as polarised, said there was a serious need for the ruling and opposition parties to address national issues for the benefit of citizens.
Dr Ng’oma advised the opposition to share their solutions to the problems the country is facing instead of keeping them to themselves.
“As we end 2015, I want to say that current politics leave much to be desired, I am not being malicious but things speak for themselves, the opposition has nothing good to say about the Government, both can’t engage each other, so let them adopt bipartisan politics,” he said.
The opposition do not want to be engaged on national matters, and  as a result the ruling party has also stopped engaging them, a situation he described as undemocratic because both were expected to engage each other.
The political activist, however, has applauded President Edgar Lungu for his continued implementation of infrastructure development programmes across the country.
“Government has implemented a few things which we are happy with as a nation, we are just waiting for him to issue a statement on how infrastructure can be maintained otherwise the exercise will be a waste of resources,” Dr Ng’oma said.
Dr N’goma also expressed happiness that Mr Lungu would sign the Constitution Bill which contained vital issues that would benefit the people of Zambia.
He has since urged Mr Lungu to ensure that he uses his mandate and speak on violence as the nations goes to polls next year.
