THE Zambia Union of Journalists (ZUJ) has ushered in new chapel leaders with deputy general  secretary Robinson Kunda urging them to work hard and fight for the rights of their members.
Mr Kunda said in a statement yesterday that the union held elections in all chapels at Times Printpak Zambia Limited, Zambia Daily Mail and Zambia Printing Company.
“Following ZUJ elections conducted during the week, new chapel leaders were ushered into office and will serve for a period of two years,” Mr Kunda said.
Times Printpak Lusaka chapel president is Rebecca  Mushota, Patrick Banda is vice-president, Maimbolwa Mulikelela is secretary with Willie Munthali being vice-secretary, while Judith Namutowe is treasurer to be deputised by Kelvin Hamakando .
Evaristo Kasonde, Darius Kunda and Clement Chewe will serve as trustees.
In Ndola, Maya Ntanda is president, Prisca Musonda secretary while Moses Chimfwembe will serve as her vice, Gethsemane Mwizabi is treasurer and Kapeya Mutale is his deputy with Charles Chembe and Warren Mwape being trustees.
For the Zambia Daily Mail Lusaka Chapel, Doreen Nawa was elected president while Farai Madiye will serve as her deputy.
Christine Chisha was elected secretary, Caroline Kalombe will serve as her vice while Gertrude Chisanga was elected treasurer. Diana Mutakafimbo, Joseph Chibuye and Doreen Munalula are trustees.
Mr Kunda said for the Zambia Daily Mail Ndola, Monica Mayuni was elected president and Mutale Chushi is vice president  while Evans Chitambala was elected secretary. Bornwel Mfune and Mulwanda Lupiya were elected as trustees.
For the Kitwe Zambia Daily Mail, Hone Siame is president, Hilda Salim vice-president while Mwila Ntambi is secretary.
Sheena Katema is treasurer and Nkombo Kanchemba was elected trustee.
At the Zambia Printing Company, the new office bearers are David Muyatwa, president, King Munsanje  vice-president, Francis Zulu is secretary while Frank Sunsamala,Charles Phiri and Belinda Chingamu are trustees.
