BODYBUILDER Honest Miyupi has vowed to dethrone defending champion Sylvester Mwila during the Zambia Body Building and Fitness Federation (ZBBFF) 2015 Mr Zambia contest slated for tomorrow in Lusaka.
Miyupi, who is Mr Copperbelt, said in an interview yesterday that he had prepared adequately for the Mr Zambia contest to be held at the Taj Pamodzi Hotel as he followed a strict training regimen and diet.
He said Mwila had been Mr Zambia champion for far too long and it was time for him to take over.
The Mr Zambia contest has attracted more than 35 bodybuilders who will be vying for glory in four weight categories.
Out of those contesting, six are from the Copperbelt.
“I have prepared adequately for Mr Zambia and this time I want to dethrone Sylvester. He has had that title for so long,” Miyupi said.
Miyupi, who is sponsored by Moba Hotel, said his only competitor was the streaking six-time champion Mwila.
He boasted that the other musclemen could not match his skill.
“I am winning the title, I have no competitors apart from Sylvester,” he said.
ZBBFF secretary Cornelius Chanda said everything was in place for the tournament that will hit the stage after a year’s absence.
