THIS week, Mr Darlington Kapasu, the man who deals in a number of herbal medicines on behalf of some producers in a number of Asian countries, sent me the following write up on something that helps to treat cancer.

 Introduction: It is developed by Dr Yuzhong Yang, member of Invention Society of China and president of Tangshan Xinli Biological Research Institute.

He innovatively applies, and combines modern medical science and traditional Chinese medical theory.

Raw materials are precious and of premium quality. Processing craft is quite ingenious.

Function and usage: made of bezoar, reishi shell broken spore powder, Allium macrostemon Bge, Astragalus membranceus, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Liquorice. The formula is based on the principle “Normalising body mechanism, activating blood, and detoxicating. It can adjust the function of T cell, enhance the activity of NK, LAK and lymph cell. It can protect liver, kidney and marrow, get rid of polypus (superfluous and morbid cell), deplete cancer cell and cause cancer cell to diminish.

Specification: 0.5g*100 capsule

Usage: 4 times a day, 5 capsules a time. Half hour before meal (For stomach cancer,  an hour after meal)

Analysis of effective ingredients:

1: Bezoar, effective components: Bilirubin, Bileacid, Cholic acid, Deoxycholicacid, Cholester, Ergosterol, Fatty acid, Lecithine,Vd,Ca, Na, Fe,K,Cu,Mg and P.

Anti-cancer function of bezoar: it has the function to inhibit tumor S256 in Rattus norvegicus.

Effect on immunity: 100mg/kg of natural bezoar or synthetic bezoar can significantly enhance the function of macrophage, considerably increase amount and function of the cell which can generate antibody, remarkably boost the transformation of lymph cell stimulated by LPS. It is likely that bezoar improves immunity by adjusting the function of monocyte macrophage B.

2: Reishi polysaccharide. Reishi polysaccharide can stimulate non-specific resistance, immunity specific reaction, and inhibit cancer cell.

When the molecule is above 1×104 , it shows strong resistance to cancer cell. Another effective ingredients in reishi are triterpenoid, which can stop pain, calm, detoxificate, protect liver and kill cancer cell.

Low immunity or dysfunction of immunity is an important reason why tumor will develop and expand. Reishi is the best immunity adjusting and activating agent. It can boost immunity significantly and increase the ability against cancer. It can enhance the ability of blood generation, especially normalize leukocyte level. It has no side effect, which renders it the best complementary medical herb.

3: Glucyrrhizic acid is the active content in liquorices. Besides the function of preventing hepatitis and stimulation of interferon, it can prevent cancer. In the experiment of cancer induction by aflatoxin B and DEN, it shows that glucyrrhizic acid can prevent the occurence of cancer and protect DNA restoration from damage in the pathological change. Glucyrrhizic acid can protect DNA from damage caused by benzopyrene

4:Allium macrostemon Bge’s effect on immunity, allium macrostemon volatile oil ( allium oil in short) can significantly inhibit growth of cancer cell, inhibition rate 60.86%. Experiments show that Allium oil can increase the spleen index of Rat S180. The swallowing rate of macrophage has been improved considerably. 20% Allium macrostemon ethanol extract can inhibit HELA incurred by TPA, inhibition rate 69.6%. Effective ingredients in Allium macrostemon can react with the strongest carcinogen N2-nitroso compound. Therefore, it stops the synthesis of NDMA and NDEA, inhibition rate 71.3% and 67.14%.

5: Tanshinone is the effective ingredient in Salvia miltiorrhiza. It can stop cancer cell in G0/G1, reduce the amount of cancer cell in S period, induce the cancer cell to become normal cell. Salvia miltiorrhiza can help body to supervise cancer cell and increase the LAK and NK activity by generation of interferon, and kill cancer cell by boosting the swallowing function of reticuloendothelial system.
