AN upcoming Ndola-based entertainment and events manager has been shortlisted for the 2015 Life Changers Young Entrepreneurship Award to be hosted in Nigeria on December 4, 2015.
The 29-year-old Zac Roman Mulenga, who runs Lavo Events and Entertainment in Ndola, will also feature in the Life Changers Award Magazine which will be launched on the night of the awards slated for the Banquet Event Centre in Lagos.
An e-mail sent by Sheri Adegbesan from the Novelty Charity Consultants of the United Kingdom office informed Mr Mulenga that he was also being invited to the awards reception billed for the Hilton Hotel Docklands in London.
The Young Entrepreneurship Awards presentation is organised by the London-based Life Changers Awards committee, which seeks to inspire young people between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
Recipients should either be in employment, self-employed or running a community service project.
The email, dated October 5, 2015, reads in part: “We have the honour of the awards committee to invite you as one of the distinguished awardees of the event which promises to be one of a kind.”
Mr Mulenga, who holds a Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply certificate in psychology, is a part-time presenter and actor at the Ndola office of the privately-owned Muvi Television.
He has been credited for successfully creating his entertainment and events management company, and also runs a beauty and entertainment magazine called Lavo, besides owning Doyen Modelling Agency.
Besides that, he runs a cultural dance group.
Mr Mulenga this year hosted the inaugural Kopala Fashion Show which he hopes to organise annually to promote young fashion designers on the Copperbelt.
He expressed delight at his Young Entrepreneurship Awards nomination, where he hopes to win a prize.
“I am happy that I have been recognised internationally for my work as an entrepreneur,” he told the Copperbelt Times.
