THE Vatican has saluted Zambia for being and oasis of peace.
Pope Francis’ secretary for relations with states Paul Richard Gallagher praised Zambia for championing and maintaining peace.
Archbishop Gallagher said it was for that reason that the Vatican remained determined to cementing the existing bilateral relations with Zambia.
Archbishop Gallagher said this yesterday shortly after arriving at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
The archbishop is in Zambia on a four-day working visit, which is also part of the Jubilee celebrations of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Vatican and Zambia.
He was received by Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Rayford Mbulu, among others.
