A SAUDI International firm plans to stake a multi-million dollar investment in Zambia’s health care and energy sectors on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model.
The investment seeks to increase local employment, provide on-job training through professional international experts and use of latest technology in construction and projects as a whole, within international safety and security parameters.
According to Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), Advance Electronic Systems International (AESI) business development director Amir Qayyum said the investment was proposed when First Lady Esther Lungu visited Saudi Arabia recently.
Mr Qayyum told Arab News that a concrete collaboration between the two countries is likely to be concluded soon for the development of projects in the health and energy sectors.
He said his company in partnership with international recognised companies specialised in various industries would provide a total development solution.
This will include preparation of feasibility studies, project finance and project development through the engineering procurement and construction model.
“AESI has been providing construction management to a number of Governments and private entities and our priorities have always been client satisfaction and economic development of the region where the project is conducted or completed.
“The proposed ground breaking projects will utilise the latest technology, which include the construction of a specialist hospital and sustainable energy and their implementation will be of the utmost priority to our company,” he said.
AESI is a management company which offers various management services in project engineering and investments, with core principles for project development to maximise local participation.
