MTN Zambia yesterday launched a new promotion dubbed ‘Spaka One Sim Plan’, which will provide lower rates across all networks.
The promotion by one of Zambia’s mobile phone provider, which would run through the festive season, is part of the social responsibility programme aimed at giving back to the community.
MTN Zambia chief executive officer Charles Molasipi said the new product would eliminate the usage of multiple sim cards as the calling rates would be low regardless of the network one was using.
Mr Molasipi was speaking in Lusaka yesterday during the launch of the promotion under the theme ‘With Love From MTN’.
Mr Molasipi said the mobile communication was a necessity that should not be limited by cost and other unnecessary inconveniences.
He noted that mobile phones were not just a handset but tools aimed at bringing people together and had the power to change lives and the world.
However, you would agree that this is inconveniencing and costly as customers had to recharge more than one account in search of affordability,” he said.
MTN chief marketing officer Mann Rajan said that the promotion would run throughout the festive season.
He said the amounts of the Spaka 1 Sim plan run from as low as K1 to K100.
