BRIEFCASE is concerned with the level of road signals being given by some personnel employed by road contractors on some roads on Copperbelt.
Concern about these personnel, most of them young women is that, sometimes they do not seem to concentrate on guiding motorists.
It has been observed that some of these personnel spend time chatting with other workers, a situation that leaves motorists to negotiate their own passage.
Beggars an eyesore
Briefcase still can not understand why some eating places in town are flooded by beggars who go round asking for aid.
Much as it is humane to give, especially those who are in need and can not afford, pouncing on people having lunch in a restaurant is not right.
Maybe restaurant owners should find a better way of keeping some beggars away from ‘disturbing’ people as they eat.
Ndola Friday ‘Bonanza’
At least Ndola Central Business District sees a horde of eldery and blind being walked from one shop to another on Fridays.
It has been learnt that those vulnerable people are walked to go and line up at shops where they are given food and money by some shop owners.
While the thought of helping the elderly and blind is a good move, reports that some shop owners give these people as little as K2 per person is sad.
