BODY BUILDING ace, Sylvester Mwila at the weekend, surrendered his Southern African title after finishing second at the just ended regional championship staged in South Africa.
Mwila failed to replicate his 2014 performance that saw him beat 30 other contestants to claim the title as he succumbed to second position with South Africa’s Romain Rimbaud emerging overall winner.
Zambia Body building and Fitness Federation (ZBBFF) vice president Brown Ng’ambi, who accompanied Mwila to the competition, said the Zambian top muscleman was robbed of victory by unfair adjudicating.
Ng’ambi accused the judges of favouring Rimbaud and that, Mwila out-muscled his opponents to deserve the title.
“We feel robbed of the title, Mwila performed very well and it was highly unfair to see judges settle for a South African, who could not match our body builder’s outstanding display. It is strange that South Africans don’t want titles to leave their country which is not good for the sport,” Ng’ambi said.
