BRIEFCASE wonders why the concerned authorities keep turning a blind eye on the patch of road at Kafulafuta police check point on Kapiri Road.
It is unbelievable that the terribly bad patch has been left in that state for years now without anyone attending to it.
Not only is the patch a danger to motorists, but has now become impassable and can damage vehicles passing through.
Nkana road works
Maintenance works on Nkana road in Ndola that were recently abandoned have resumed.
Contractor China Jiangxi resumed the maintenance works which are part of Ndola-Kiwe dual carriage way a couple of weeks ago.
Residents have however called for the quick completion of the road works to prevent traffic jams on the Hospital round about.
While the rehabilitation works are being done, part of the road is closed which has caused congestion and dust.
Dangerous driving
Still on the works on Nkana road, Briefcase appreciates the developments coming up of upgrading the circle of the roundabout.
It is the confusion caused by motorists going round the roundabout diversion which is worrying as it may result in accidents.
Some motorists are fond of ignoring guidance on when they should pass or give way, a situation that lead to confusion on the roundabout.
