Please allow me to comment on the perfomance of Football Association of Zambia (FAZ)  league defending champions  Zesco United Football Club this season.
I have watched almost all their home and a few away matches this season and they have been in superb form.
One thing worth noting is that good results don’t come easily, there has got to be a combination of a lot of factors which include dedication, hard work and discipline among others.
It cannot be denied that Zesco United is one of the best sponsored teams in our league, but its not just about good funding and sponsorship, good coaching and management skills also matter.
This is evident with Zesco United who have a great club executive committee and an excellent technical team led by our national team coach George Lwandamina.
The players are dedicated to duty and very hardworking and one can actually see the “hunger” to succeed in these guys.
Zesco United is now just a point away from being crowned Zambian Premier League champions for the fifth time with three matches remaining.
As they say, let us give credit where it is due, but this does not mean that we should not criticise when we see something wrong. We should, but such criticism ought to be constructive. We salute you Zega!
May I take this opportunity to congratulate the team for yet another great season, they really deserve the championship and am sure they are the team that will lift the first ever Zambian league trophy that has been Introduced by FAZ.
I urge the management to step up the preparations for continental football in good time so that they improve .
