UNDER-17 national coach, Chris Kaunda has said the future of Zambian football is bright because of the abundant promising talent at the grassroots.
Kaunda, who is currently on a countrywide Airtel Talent Search programme for the Under-17 team, said there was stiff competition for places in the junior national teams among budding players across the country.
In an interview at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe yesterday where the Airtel Talent Search Copperbelt provincial trials were being held, Kaunda said his technical staff who included Joel Bwalya and Reuben Njavela were happy with the talent they have spotted so far.
He praised the Airtel Rising Stars programme that had been running for the last four years, saying it was proving beneficial to the development of Zambian football.
