Beautifully Healthy LogoGreetings, how are you doing?
So on Wednesday I celebrated my birthday and let me thank everyone who took the time out to celebrate with me.
I thought I could share with you some of my favourite beauty and style tips.
That is what I rely on to help me look great.
Bear in mind though that somethings may not work for you so find a variation.
Washing or wiping off make-up before bed
I try to do this every night in order to remove all the dirt, sweat and makeup as these can lead to breakouts when left on the face overnight.
Speaking of breakouts my other method of preventing them is by washing and cleaning my makeup tools regularly.
I have also learnt to minimise the number of products I use as sometimes, especially if you have sensitive skin you can make the problem worse.
Try to stick to as many natural products as possible to avoid harmful ingredients in many cosmetics.
Find your staple product in your beauty and hair regimen.
My staple ingredient in hair is tea tree oil and rosemary.
Yogurt is a staple whenever I am doing a deep condition of my hair because it helps my hair immensely.
If I use honey on my face the results are incredible but my hair shrinks if i slather any honey in it.
So as I earlier said discover what products work for you and in which context.
I remember as a child watching my mother apply lipstick meticulously and trying it out.
Her lips really suffered at my hands.
Lipstick is my favourite cosmetic and you must find yours.
Think about it what makes you feel really confident is it lipstick, blush, and powder e.t. c.
Avoid being a product junkie not all things work on you and you don’t really need five types of blush.
Lips or eyes is a rule I follow religiously and maybe too much if you ask me.
If you have accentuated your eyes then leave the lips as mild and nude as possible and vice versa.
I also believe that every man should own a well fitting suit and every woman should own at least one black dress.
Find a perfume or cologne you like and always invest in a good deodorant or anti perspirant.
Run out of deodorant and need to leave?  Here’s a trick my late grandma taught me.
Wet your arm pits then put bicarbonate soda in it wait a little while then rinse off.
Moisture is so vital for your hair especially if you are a natural.
Water is the best moisture so always add it before you slather oil or cream in your head.
Drink a lot of water, eat well and detox regularly.
