WINA 628x350By SYLVESTER MWALE –

ACTING President Inonge Wina has banned cadres from outside constituencies to travel and campaign for their political parties in areas where by-elections are taking place.
The decision has been made in a bid to stop electoral violence.
Ms Wina noted that cadres who travelled from outside areas into constituencies with polls, were causing political violence during campaigns.
“The cadres who are mostly from major political parties are in a habit of fanning violence and disrupting peace,” she said.
She directed the Police to deal sternly with cadres who travelled from outside the constituencies where polls were being held.
This is according to a statement released yesterday by senior private secretary to the Vice-President Sheila Siwela.
Ms Wina further directed Police in Kasama to ensure that no one was allowed to promote unruly behaviour as they awaited the determination of the court regarding the Kasama Central parliamentary by-elections.
