Fix faulty Kabwe ATM

BRIEF-CASEBRIEFCASE continues to notice challenges at most Automated Teller Machines (ATM) at some banks in Kabwe.
Yesterday’s experience left one resident frustrated that although the ATM, which was the only one workng at the time, had counted that cash was drawn, the actual money did not come out of the machine.
Even a follow up with bank officials was more frustrating as the blame was passed back on the client saying it was because of her using a different bank and that transaction could only be reversed after 24 hours.

Mealie production timely

The move by the Zambia Cooperative Federation (ZCF) to commence the production of mealie meal following the arrival and installation of the first three solar-powered milling plants will go a long way.
The fact that the small milling plants, are being located across the country, means that all provinces will benefit from this initiative designed to reduce poverty.The small hammer mills also have a ripple effect because they will create a ready market for small-scale farmers.
The Zambian farmers have for a long time been selling their maize and other cereals to the Food Reserve Agency without any value addition so the milling plants will assist them add value to their product.

Solar powered water supply

Briefacase wishes to commend Government for commissioning the first ever solar powered water supply project in Mungwi District at a cost of K280, 000.
The water project, which has been funded by the Devolution Trust Fund (DTF) will benefit more than 500 households and public infrastructure such as schools and clinics in Malole area. This will assist deliver affordable and quality water services to all the people in both urban and rural parts of the country.
The project is important as it will assist in resolving the challenges of water the people have been facing. As many people are aware, Water and sanitation services play a significant role in national development.
