Preparations for the Miss Pageant Zambia are underway with the a fundraising dinner scheduled for  this evening.
Speaking to Times entertainment, Lee Sokoni confirmed that the Miss Pageant Zambia finals will take place for the fourth consecutive time on October 31.
Sokoni said that before the event takes place, an introductory fundraising dinner will be hosted today, at Lusaka Ground Hotel, which will have Minister Vincent Mwale as guest of honour.
“We will have Minister of Youth and Sports Vincent Mwale be guest of honour to our opening fundraising dinner, before the main Miss Pageant Zambia takes place later on this year,” he said.
Sokoni said that the theme for this year’s event is “Employment is everyone’s responsibility”.
“This year’s theme simply means that it is everyone’s responsibility to create employment and not just looking at the Government. Even churches, political parties, and opposition parties can also come forth and come up with employment opportunities for the younger generation so that when campaign time arrives they have something positive to look to,” he said.
The Miss Pageant Zambia finals will take place on the 31st of October at the Lusaka Diamonds Casino along Kafue  Road.
It is all about empowering women, based on different topics to help young women and men regarding health issues.
Reigning Miss Pageant Zambia 2014 Mando Mumba currently a student at Mulungushi University, awaits to see the new crowning of Miss Pageant come October 31.
