NDOLA City Council should find ways of erecting traffic lights at the inter-section of Shinde and Kabelenga roads in Ndola to avoid accidents.
Barely a day passes without witnessing an accident at this inter-section, a situation that threatens not only motorists’ but pedestrains’ lives also.
This is an inter-section at which heavy traffic from Northrise, Town center and across Kabelenga Roads meet, causing panic among road users.
Stick to timetable
Briefcase is calling upon Zesco to stick to the published load-shesdding timetable to avoid wasting perishable goods.
It has been noted that Zesco in Kabwe has a tendency of switching off power 30 to 45 minutes before time which was becoming an order of the day.
The power utility company would do well to follow the schedule considering that loadshedding hours has been increased from five to nine hours.
Luanshya: Unplanned town?
Luanshya, a town once deemed a garden town has over recent times lost its splendor after the council allocated plots at every available space.
It was because of the nice play parks and other open areas in the mine townshps of Luanshya, Roan and Mpatamatu that earned the town that status.
A walk in Luanshya reveals that structures have been built everywhere, making the town look like unplanned shanty compound.
