WINA 628x350By BRIAN HATYOKA –

VICE-PRESIDENT Inonge Wina has urged Zambians to work hard and change their attitudes towards work to promote development in the country.
Ms Wina said the change of mindset in Zambia was imperative for the country to achieve development.
She said there was need for all Zambians to embrace President Edgar Lungu’s message delivered to Parliament on Friday on the need to promote reconciliation and hard work.
Ms Wina was speaking in Livingstone yesterday morning when she made a stopover at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport.
Later, Ms Wina flew to Sichili in Mulobezi District of Western Province to drum up support for PF candidate for Sichili Ward Dennis Lyambai.
The Vice-President arrived at Livingstone Airport around 09:00 hours aboard a Zambia Airforce (ZAF) plane, accompanied by Livingstone Member of Parliament and Tourism Deputy Minister Lawrence Evans.
Ms Wina was received by Livingstone District Commissioner Omar Munsanje, provincial and district Government officials, defence and security representatives and Patriotic Front (PF) officials.
“President Lungu’s message delivered at Parliament on Friday put very strong emphasis on reconciliation and the need for Zambians to work together on all aspects of life.
“The Head of State expects this reconciliation to be the basis for unity and peace in Zambia,” Ms Wina said.
She said there was need for Zambians to change their usual way of doing business as the country had lagged behind in terms of development for many years because of a poor working culture.
Ms Wina said President Lungu looked forward to the promotion of tourism in Southern Province, especially Livingstone and other parts of the country like the Northern Circuit.
She said there was need for districts to adhere to the Presidential directive to identify areas which could be developed for tourism.
